The American Idol alumni, who got engaged on the show's 2012 finale, are putting the finishing touches on their wedding preparations – from the clothes, to the cake, to the guest list – and they're giving us a sneak peek of it all. Forget walking down the aisle, this bride is running for her life.
At least that’s how photographer Quinn Miller wanted to make it seem as he oh-so-perfectly Photoshopped a giant T-Rex chasing the entire wedding party out of their ceremony at The Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, La., on May 26.
Miller has seen other photographers attempt to pull off the “Jurassic Park”-themed wedding photo, but knew he could do much better.

Oklahoma Tornado: Engaged Couple's Love, Wedding Survive

As devastating as the tornado's impact was to their Moore, Okla., home last week, Mady Gosh and fiancE Jason Velasquez have managed to find hope in the improbable sequence of events that saved their wedding-day essentials. (Courtesy Robby and Savannah Doland.)

Gosh had a full plate in the months leading up to the tornado that would sweep through their neighborhood. The recently engaged woman had just begun the process of moving into her fiancE's home on Little River Circle, and she was making last-minute plans for her June 12 California wedding.

"My entire focus for the past six months was wedding planning: my bridal shower, bachelorette party, all of it," Gosh, 29, said. "And I feel like our lives just kind of halted."

Classic & Romantic Navy Wedding Filled With Lace, Moss & Stripes

Megan and Todd’s wedding at The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena was the perfect mix of rustic chic decor with classic, ballroom elegance.

I’ve fallen head over heels for the navy and neutral colour palette, pretty moss details, white roses, blush pink dahlias and chic stripes. And I’m pretty much obsessed with Megan’s timeless bridal style…

She teamed a layered lace wedding dress with with the perfect amount of sparkle – glamorous earrings, waist cinching sash and delicate hair pin peeking out from underneath her cathedral length, lace trimmed veil.

Orange Turtle Photography captured all the romance and beauty of Megan and Todd’s special day perfectly.

Bridesmaid Dresses

From The Bride…

 

We want to create a feeling of timeless elegance. We liked the idea of having neutral colors and lots of natural elements to allow for our venue to speak for itself.

I wore a strapless lace gown with a cathedral length lace trimmed veil. My bridesmaids wore grey chiffon floor length dresses with stain sashes that had fabric flowers attached to them.

 The Flowers

I really wanted the flowers to be very natural and timeless. We used a lot of wooden boxes and baskets (the flower girl basket was covered in moss) and the chuppah was made of wood covered in moss and dahlias. The flowers were all in the white family and consisted of mostly garden roses, dahlias and queen anne’s lace.


 The Ceremony

We had an interfaith service that included some Christian traditions as well as Jewish ones.

 Décor & Details

Our décor was minimal in order to highlight the beautiful historic hotel we were surrounded by. We did want to add a few quirks to elevate the day and bring a little something special to the day.

Our escort card table was a replica of the Hollywood sign and spelled out MR & MRS in the background. We also included different pictures of our bulldog on our table numbers to add a little whimsy to the day.


The Refreshments

We love comfort food and found it important to include late night snacks that were made available during the late night dancing. The food included lobster corn dogs, sliders, tomato shooters with grilled cheese sticks, homemade marshmallows and donut holes (in honor of our bulldog Dunkin named after our favorite donut shop).

 The Wedding Music

Our recessional was a guitar and violin rendition of “I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts in honor of my obsession with the show Friends. Our first dance was to an acoustic version of “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol.


 Orange Turtle Photography

We spent a long time looking for the perfect photographers. We met a bunch of people that we didn’t feel were right for us and were then recommended to meet Orange Turtle Photography by our wedding planner and it was a perfect match.

We wanted to find photographers that would be able to have a specific point of view and tell a story through photo. We knew that the pictures would last much longer than the day would and wanted to make sure they were able to re-create that special feeling for years and years to come!

Advice For Other Couples

I am a natural planner. I had binders, excel spreadsheets and lots of Pinterest pins. After planning my sister’s wedding I knew there was a ton of options and the biggest piece of advice I could give is to know that you cannot make a wrong decision.

The day is about the words spoken between husband and wife, the rest of it is beautiful icing on the cake. There are lots of flavors to choose from and they are ALL delicious!

Spring is a great time to make the most of beautiful swathes of blossom which makes a stunning backdrop for your wedding.

Lots of lace is a must – lace table runners over old wooden tables look gorgeous.

The Bachelorette Season 9 Premiere: Meet the Man Candy

After being dumped by Sean Lowe during the hometown dates, beautiful brunette Desiree Hartsock is back and looking for love. And a best friend to share life with her. And probably a little fame, too. (If this doesn't pan out, maybe she has a career as a rap artist?)

Red Flower Wedding Dress

Desiree Hartsock lived a humbling life, so the extravagance of the house she'll be staying in on the hillsides of Malibu, CA is quite the step up. And someone put m&ms on her nightstand. Plus 5. Where do I get somebody to do that?

Sadness. We get to relive the tearful end of her relationship with Sean Lowe. Minus 10.

To help ease the pain of that breakup, The Bachelorette producers got her a Bentley. A. Bentley. Powder blue. She says she feels like she's exactly where she's supposed to be.

After Desiree goes roller skating in a bikini top through Malibu, she sits down with Chris Harrison where she calls herself Cinderella no less than 3 times. She wants someone who can communicate how he feels. That means man tears, right?

She vows to kiss the guy if she feels like kissing the guy. GIRL POWER! Plus 8.

She's ready to weed out the men from the boys. So are we. Can we get to that now please?
