About the Look:

A lightweight, colorful print is perfect for summer weather.  I loved the pretty pastels in this one (thanks to Lulu*s) with the deep navy accents. To top it off, the cut out back is such a playful detail! I paired it with cut out booties, light trench with leather details, and mirrored wayfarers for an edgier look.

Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith.  That goes for everyday life and it goes for planning your wedding.  Like when this darling duo found the perfect venue… a gravel lot under construction with gorgeous surroundings and beautiful plans.  Take a leap of faith?  Yes. They. Did.  And the result was a beyond beautiful affair held at the brand spankin’ new Ashton Gardens in Atlanta, complete with gorgeous florals from vintage wedding dresses and an entire gallery of lovely from Three Pennies Photography. From the Bride… Daniel and I had been together for just over 4 years when we got engaged at Jekyll Island on a short weekend getaway. My family’s soul food restaurant made it impossible for me to leave for longer than a weekend, so poor Daniel had to plan our trip around me. We stayed in Savannah, the same city we took our first trip to as a couple, and decided to take a day trip to the beach. After dragging me around the Jekyll Island resort while it was hot and  humid, we finally stopped by the beach to relax before heading back to Savannah. While on the beach, I was being incredibly cranky and having a hard time relaxing while I thought Daniel was napping next to me. I was just about to tell him I was ready to leave when I heard him rustling around next to me. I turned my head and started to prop myself on my elbows when I saw him get up to stand. I was looking up at him and then I saw him reach into his pocket and get something out and as he started to get down on one knee, it dawned on me what was about to happen and Lordy, I started bawling like a baby. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect moment for us, taking a stressful and not ideal situation and turning it into something so beautifully special.

Wedding Inspiration, Yellow, Black and Blue

Having started the day with all things bright, red, pink and beautiful, this lunch time, we're keeping our love of colour satisfied with some lovely images sent in by photographer Anna Morgan.

Anna worked with a team of hand-picked wedding suppliers in Dorset to create these photographs which boast some really lovely wedding dresses and wedding day hairstyles I wish I saw more of on these blog pages, particularly those curls! They also celebrate the colour yellow which has been a hugely popular hue on Love My Dress over the past year or so.

a new wedding venue in Dorset.  The estate is a privately owned by Sir William and Lady Hanham and the house has been owned by the same family for nearly 500 years, and lies within romantic ancient gardens, containing a Saxon fishpond fed by a chalk trout stream, an apiary, orchard, herb garden, mature specimen trees and an old kitchen garden with a beautiful ‘crinkle-crankle’ serpentine wall. Sounds like a really gorgeous setting for your nuptials.

The theme that guided the styling of these images was based around Deans Court's beautiful little apiary – with soft summer/spring tones of yellow, lemons and whites. The prettiness of the tiny apiary along with Deans Court producing their own honey caught my imagination. The grounds and gardens are of a quaint english kitchen with fragrant herbs and flowers all year around. Perfect inspiration for anyone having a English garden wedding! We were truly spoilt on this shoot as the gorgeous grounds were just heavenly. Wedding photography at Deans Court, pretty much has it all.

Details were styled by Suzanne at RSVP Wedding with some beautiful flowers from Flowers by Design. The models wore gorgeous dresses from designers Alice Temperley, Stephanie Allin and Claire Pettibone supplied by Exquisite Bridal Couture - only some of my very favourite designers in the world and part of the reason I chose to share these images with you today.  That, and the gorgeous hair styles that were perfected by hair and make up artist, Farida Ghwedar.

Julien Avellana's Marriage, Born in 1985 and Get Marriage in 2013

For once, this is not to sit on the council as the youngest elected verfeilloise came to the town hall on Saturday, but to marry. Born in 1985, Marie Peyraud part of the team that manages the destiny of Verfeil alongside Hervé Dutko, mayor since 2008. And so it is on the arm of her husband, Julien Avellana, she emerged from the town hall. Nearly 200 people were then gathered for a religious ceremony celebrated by Father Georges Boyer church Verfeil. The day ended in the hall in Solomiac by a long and festive evening attended by a hundred guests.

This week is set to be pretty epic for me…

I’m currently in New York lamenting ahem ‘celebrating’ the last few days of my twenties. Then my amazing husband is whisking me off to Hawaii to do a spot of island hopping for my 30th!

So. freakin. excited.

Okay I appreciate that Mondays are tough enough as it is without all this talk of holidays, so instead, let’s immerse ourselves in a romantic wedding inspiration board by Rose and Ruby Paper Co.

Rose always picks the prettiest palettes for her wedding stationery as well as her weekly inspiration boards and today’s board is no exception. Blue never looked so beautiful.

Soft and romantic, this palette is a gorgeous way to work the “something blue” tradition. Wonderful also if you’re looking for something feminine but not too girly.

 Styling Tips
- Spanish moss is just the perfect backdrop for this palette but you could create a similar look with delicate hanging lace streamers or strings of delicate sparkly beads.

- Add interest with textures. A wonderfully ruffly dress or feathery accessories feel so sumptuous.

- These colours are very classy and elegant so keep with the look and stick to tonal colours; all white flowers for the bride and tonal blues for your maids.
