by Richard Presley via Wedding Ideas

The 2014 Sincerity Bridal collection is perfect for brides who want to be a princess on their wedding day.

Soft, romantic, and gorgeous are three words we’d happily use to describe this beautiful new collection of gowns. If you’re planning a glittering celebration, make sure all eyes are on you, by wearing Sincerity.

From princess-perfect full-skirted gowns, to structured silhouette-enhancing fishtail styles, this latest collection from Sincerity Bridal will really set your heart a-flutter. Since 1997, Sincerity have been making brides’ dress dreams come true (looking for A-line wedding dresses ?).

Our favourite gown from the collection has to be style 3756. With it’s gorgeous crystal embroidered bodice and flowing skirt made of layers of luxurious tulle, it’s sure to make any girl feel a million dollars. Style 3755 adds a touch of vintage elegance to the collection, while style 3751 offers a chic and modern look, that would be absolutely perfect for a city wedding. Read full post ....

Classic black and white

Black and white weddings are sophisticated and chic – and best of all – they never go out of style! This black and white wedding inspiration board has a bit of a film noir vibe that is both smoking hot and elegant at the same time.

For an all black and white wedding it is important to stick closely to the color palette and pick just one or two accent colors. In this inspiration board the accent colors are silver and gold which definitely amps up the glamour volume!

Neutral Wedding Inspiration in a Glass Factory

by Jen via Real Weddings | Green Wedding Shoes Wedding Blog | Wedding ...

Though I’m always a big fan of bold + bright colors, I also have a deep appreciation for the simplicity + beauty of soft, neutral hues. This shoot, photographed by Kate Ignatowski Photography, is a perfect example of using detail + texture in place of punchy tones. The team layered monochromatic shades of off-white fabric to create a romantic ceremony backdrop + used gauzy cheesecloth as a cool twist on a table runner.  So many pretty + unique ideas for you to be inspired by!

From the photographer, The venue (Knockdown Center in Queens, New York) was my inspiration + starting off point – it’s a partially restored glass factory with a beautiful industrial feel (and the lighting was amazing!). We paired the gritty, industrial feel of the space with natural neutrals, inspired by a recent trip to Restoration Hardware where their showroom was perfectly decorated with neutral shades. We rented mostly off-white decor from Patina Vintage Rentals, including an old mantle for the welcome/place-cards + favor area, a Swedish love seat for the lounge area, an old cabinet for the cocktail and cake setup, mix-matched off-white cafe chairs, + an old farm-table. It all looked so beautiful against the old brick. Full post

Fashion Girls July 24 - WeddingEs

Bliss

Wearing: Cameo check top, Bonds purple singlet, Bloch leggings, ASOS smiley sweatbands, Jolie & Deen necklace, Shashi Dillon ring, Le Specs sunglasses & adidas Energy Boost running shoes.

Whilst I am not a hit the gym seven days a week and low carbs high protein diet girl, I do happen to like exercise. On a crazy, impulsive day last year, my friend Jess and I decided we wanted to start doing something about sitting in our desk chairs glued to our laptops every day. Oh, uni life. Two days later, both of us had signed our lives away to a 6 month gym membership and over a year later, we’re still going regularly. The rush of endorphins post class is the most beautiful feeling and keeping healthy whilst you’re at it is even better. Our favourite group fitness classes are Body Balance, Body Attack, Zumba and pilates and going out with Runkeeper on a sunny day is always great as well. Though aside from regularly confessing my love for Les Mils’ body balance soundtrack on Twitter (I could honestly listen to those songs for days) – Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful better be in the next mix - I think this must be the first time I’ve posted a sports inspired shoot for my blog.

A couple of weeks ago, I was sent a pair of new adidas Energy Boost runners in ‘blast purple’ to try out. These very shoes won the Runner’s World 2013 Best Debut award this year and are made of a special BOOST™ foam which provides the highest energy return in the running industry and is going to replace the soles of all adidas performance shoes in the next two years. Super comfortable and make you feel like you’re bouncy on the moon the moment you put them on. I thought about incorporating them in a sports luxe fashion sort of way – given runners these days are so often incorporated into day to day outfits. Then I thought, why not just post about what health, wellbeing and what to wear whilst keeping fit? One of the best things about creating content for your own blog is being able to have personal control and freedom in your work and I’m so glad to be able to work with adidas to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. So here’s a shout out to keeping healthy. It’s so important for your body. So download a running app, get your runners and if the weather’s good, go out for half an hour. Your soon-to-hit endorphin state of mind will thank you for it.

Though I dread being asked to sum up my style in a neat coupling of synonyms, it happens often enough to where I’ve decided that “minimal yet bohemian” is a nice way to answer before mumbling something about how I get dressed based on my mood. But this look is exactly that. I love AurĂ©lie Bidermann’s Copacabana collection – the thick colorful braids on gold just scream summer.

Nine Must Have Cool Pants

Nine Pants That Keep You Cooler Than Shorts

I was never very good at anatomy or biology or science in general, but I do know this little factoid quite well: when it comes to regulating human body temperature, pretty much all the action happens from the waist up. It's why you can wear a little prom dresses online and sheer tights in 50-degree weather and still feel okay as long as you've got a hat and scarf and all that good stuff up top.

So anyway, the legs: they're not as important, which is good to remember in summer, when the default thinking is that you've gotta wear a thigh-high hemline to stay cool. That's really not true, especially when it's not just hot out but also blindingly sunny. In that case, pants might actually be the smartest route to go. When they're loose-fit, light-colored and made of crepe-y, breathable material—no leather, wool or denim—some pants can actually keep you cooler than shorts, letting a little breeze in while (here's the kicker) keeping the sun out. Below, our nine favorite pairs that do just that.

The ideal beach pant: sun-reflecting white, linen fabric, easy to slip on and off. When the rest of your friends overheat as their legs soak up the sun, you'll still be comfy.
The prettiest print, on a silk that's so barely-there you'll keep wondering if you forgot something. Like your pants.

Swap these in for your usual denim. They're made of thin, breathable cotton, with wide enough legs to let a little breeze in with every step.

Outfits July 11

Outfit post: summer look

You'll see more of this outfit in another post, took some special photos but will tell you about that later this week...
I do have more pairs of sandals but these are my favorite right now, and somehow I end up wearing them almost everyday. Wore this outfit from yesterday at 11 am to today at 3:30 am, yep, it's that versatile! Not quite, but you know, unexpected plans rise up and you don't have time to change. Ehhm, photos, brunch, photos drinks, dinner, drinks, drinks, parteeeh! Needless to say that today, I was a bit off my game, no, no hangover!

I’ve been so excited about moving for the past few weeks that all I’ve been doing is browsing through every single section of the IKEA website, when I really don’t need anything. So this is what I wore yesterday when my overexcitement led to us visiting IKEA in person and wandering through the enter-and-never-be-able-to-escape IKEA store.

Even though it’s still going to be a couple more months, I’ve already started packing some of my possessions into boxes and thinking about how to arrange my room and studio. One of the things I am most excited about is adopting a vegetable garden at our new place. I’ve always wanted to grow my own produce and pick my lettuce leaves fresh from the garden whenever I am making a salad so I really can’t wait . A few days ago I picked up an interesting book from Tom’s bookshelf – Choosing Eden by Adrienne Langman. It’s about self sustainable farming and looks like an interesting and inspiring read. I can’t wait to finish it and get even more excited! I’ve already made a list of different things I want to grow: tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, rocket, potatoes, basil and spinach. If things go to plan and nothing dies on me.. perhaps I’ll venture into the world of fruit and try to grow some strawberries too!  View more ....

About the Look:
A lightweight, colorful print is perfect for summer weather.  I loved the pretty pastels in this one (thanks to Lulu*s) with the deep navy accents. To top it off, the cut out back is such a playful detail! I paired it with cut out booties, light trench with leather details, and mirrored wayfarers for an edgier look.

Bridesmaid

From the Bride… Daniel and I had been together for just over 4 years when we got engaged at Jekyll Island on a short weekend getaway. My family’s soul food restaurant made it impossible for me to leave for longer than a weekend, so poor Daniel had to plan our trip around me. We stayed in Savannah, the same city we took our first trip to as a couple, and decided to take a day trip to the beach. After dragging me around the Jekyll Island resort while it was hot and  humid, we finally stopped by the beach to relax before heading back to Savannah. While on the beach, I was being incredibly cranky and having a hard time relaxing while I thought Daniel was napping next to me. I was just about to tell him I was ready to leave when I heard him rustling around next to me. I turned my head and started to prop myself on my elbows when I saw him get up to stand. I was looking up at him and then I saw him reach into his pocket and get something out and as he started to get down on one knee, it dawned on me what was about to happen and Lordy, I started bawling like a baby. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect moment for us, taking a stressful and not ideal situation and turning it into something so beautifully special.
